Career Teachers are looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant. You will have the knowledge and skills to support teaching staff and other professionals with the behaviour management of pupils in the school. You will be inspiring, encouraging and engaging with pupils to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes for their learning. You will support pupils to manage their own behaviour, in order to do this you will help individuals to develop strategies to overcome any barriers they have regarding their learning.

This Special School is located in Nottingham and caters for children and young people aged 4-19 years. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to expand their knowledge and skills within a different environment. This role can be challenging yet equally rewarding. You will need to take a creative approach to the delivery and support of the pupils education to ensure pupils are engaging and learning.

Requirements of the role:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• A genuine interest in Special Educational Needs
• Current DBS on the update service or able to apply for one through Career Teachers
• Have experience within a classroom
• Have a calm and patient approach
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
