What is ABA?

An ABA tutor is the person who works day to day with the child (children) implementing the strategies and implementing the skills identified by the case manager (Behaviour Analyst), this may mean working with a child in the family's own home or in a school or nursery.

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behaviour.

What Does a Typical ABA Therapy Session Look Like? ... DTT: The therapist might begin by teaching the child a "B" sound like "bah." The therapist provides reinforcement when the child succeeds. Once the child has acquired that, the therapist adds a "reinforcer" skill that's directly connected to the skill being taught.

Ideally the school is looking for an experienced and accomplished ABA tutor starting in September 2020. Experience with Autism essential.
