Are you a PE Graduate looking to get into teaching?
We are looking for cover supervisors to work in Leeds secondary schools, commencing from September 2022.
You will be responsible for supervising groups of students in the classroom in the absence of their usual teacher. You will then be expected to manage student behaviour in line with the school policy. If you are able to support students in their learning, then you should, but your primary object will be to manage behaviour and keep students on task. This work is great experience if you are thinking of becoming a teacher.
You must be able to communicate effectively and gain enjoyment from working with young people - some of who might be challenging. Previous experience would be advantageous obviously, though not essential as it's a job that can be learnt with the right attitude and application. We do also offer occasional training which can help you to perform well in this role.
You must be confident in building positive relationships with students and supporting them in their learning. You will also be resourceful, energetic and well organised, with a good sense of humour and an interest in developing professionally.
