We are recruiting for a number of Cover Supervisors to come and work with us to work in schools in Leeds starting from September 2022. The work tends to be day to day and it is possible to pick and choose the days you work. We have experienced unprecedented demand this year, and are recruiting in anticipation for a similar surge in demand.
Work would be given out at relatively short notice, and you would be going into schools and covering lessons in the absence of the usual class teacher. You will always have work fully set and planned ready for your arrival, so you just need to oversee the students doing to work and manage behaviour efficiently through use of the school's behaviour policy, and your own experience, if you have any.
It's always nice to have experience, but it's actually your passion for working with children that would make you excel in this type of role. Good organisational and communication skills will be essential as will the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with everyone .
Your work in secondary schools with us will certainly give you valuable experience and build your confidence working with students - this is something especially helpful if you plan to apply for your teacher training, and would like the experience. We have a good market knowledge of local schools which we will utilise to get you suitable work. It's through working in different schools that you will be able to develop your own teaching style and techniques within the classroom.
Apply today if you are looking to gain valuable experience in local schools from the next academic year. I particularly want to hear from those who can make a difference to the students day in day out.
