We are looking for cover supervisors to work in Leeds secondary schools, commencing right away. This would suit those looking for either full or part time hours.

You will be tasked with supervising whole groups of students in the classroom (sometimes up to 30) whilst their usual teacher is absent. You will then be expected to manage student behaviour whilst applying the school policy. You should try to support students in their learning,though the primary objective will be to manage behaviour and keep students working on task. This work is great experience if you are thinking of becoming a teacher, and need some practical experience.

You must be an expert communicator who would gain a lot of job satisfaction from working with young people - there's no getting away from the fact it will be challenging, so it need someone who isn't afraid of hard work! Previous experience would be advantageous, though it is true that this is a job that can be learnt with the right attitude and application.

You must be confident in building positive relationships with students and supporting them in their learning. You will also be resourceful, energetic and well organised, with a good sense of humour and an interest in developing professionally.
