Teaching Assistant/Admin Support - Part Time

Career Teachers are actively recruiting on behalf of a small village Primary School for a Teaching Assistant/Admin Support to work on a Part Time basis (Monday Morning, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Morning) from January 4th through till the end of the academic year.

This position is a hybrid role combing both the duties of a Teaching Assistant and Office Admin Support. In relation to the Office Admin Support, you will be required to carry out all duties within the school office including answering the phone, collating diner monies, conversing with other schools in the trust and general office admin. In relation to the Teaching Assistant aspect of the role, you will be required to offer support to pupils in both KS1 and KS2 to ensure that their learning and development continue.

You will be joining a small village Primary School whereby community atmospherics and the pupils learning, and development is paramount.

Due to the rural location of this school, your own transport is essential.

You will need to:

  • Have previous experience of working in across KS1 & KS2
  • Share an understanding of the importance of a child-centred approach to learning
  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3, BTEC Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Develop and promote positive relationships with children, adults, and other practitioners
  • Plan deliver and evaluate teaching and learning activities under the direction of a teacher
  • Support Literacy and Numeracy development
  • Observe and promote pupil performance and development
