We work on an exclusive basis with a number of schools in Leeds, and are, in anticipation of demand from September 2021, recruiting for a number of Cover Supervisors to come and work with us. Ideally you would be interested in working on a day to day supply and even a longer term basis. We are keenly looking to add quality cover supervisors to our supply bank, and that is where you come in!

Your main remit would be to go into schools, often at relatively short notice, and cover lessons whilst the usual teacher for that class is absent. You will always have work fully set and planned ready for your arrival, so you just need to oversee the students doing to work and keep on top of behaviour through use of the school's behaviour policy.

Experience is always nice to have, but really you need to be passionate about working with children and about making a genuine difference to them. Good organisational and communication skills will stand you in good stead, as will the ability to build good relationships with everyone - if you can build great relationships with both staff and pupils at the school's you are working at, this will enable you to do your job to an even higher standard.

Your work in secondary schools with us will certainly give you valuable experience and build your confidence working with students - this is something especially helpful if you plan to apply for your teacher training, and need all the experience you can get. We have an in depth knowledge of local schools and this wealth of knowledge can be used to your benefit as you will be working in schools that suit you. It's through working in different schools that you will be able to develop develop your own teaching style and techniques within the classroom.
