A dedicated and committed community of staff care for students with social, emotional and mental health related needs (SEMH) and Autism (ASC).

They are looking for behaviour support workers to work alongside their pupils, to build relationships, understand their triggers and ultimately help manage their emotions.

You will be part of a large team who hold an emphasis on collaborative teamwork. The school adopts a strategy of identifying and de-escalating challenging behaviour, and although those trained in restraint techniques are looked at favourably, those that understand the ethos of and employ Team Teach philosophy are those that really stand out within the teams.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside an allocated group of pupils to support and manage their behaviour
  • Assist in before and after school clubs
  • Build relationships and liaise with parents and legal guardians around you key children.
  • Be Team Teach certified, or be willing to be trained
  • Being First Aid Trained or willing to undertake training
