Science Teacher - KS3/4/5 - Thurrock

An ambitious academy based in Thurrock, Essex, is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join their team. Are you looking for a role with opportunity for career progression and a team environment, this will be perfect for you. They are looking for teachers with the capability of teaching Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 and who will put students needs first at all times.

The school is part of a large multi-academy trust and believes that learning doesn't begin and end at the classroom door. They are looking for an enthusiastic and pro active English teacher with extensive knowledge but someone who is nurturing and will make students feel safe and welcome.

teachers who have qualified abroad and now have a valid NARIC certificate.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an overseas teaching certificate recognised by Naric
  • A positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
  • A commitment to building strong relationships and gaining the most out of our students

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the academic development of pupils assigned to you
  • Be responsible for accurate reporting and assessment of all pupils
  • Be a committed and involved team member within your department, but also the wider school
  • Follow school behaviour and reporting policies
  • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained
  • Manage class behaviour using positive behaviour management techniques
