Humanities Teacher - Geography - History - Religious Education - KS3 and KS4 - CLAPHAM

An ambitious and modern school in Clapham is seeking an experienced humanities teacher to join their forward-thinking team. The school is part of a large multi-academy trust which allows for teachers to have more resources to assist them in providing the highest level of education to students with mixed abilities.

This is the ideal opportunity if you are looking for a teaching position that will challenge you to use a variety of teaching methods and new developments in the curriculum to teach a range of year groups, containing pupils of various abilities, attitudes, and experiences.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an overseas teaching certificate recognised by Naric
  • A positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
  • A commitment to building strong relationships and gaining the most out of our students

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the academic development of pupils assigned to you
  • Be responsible for accurate reporting and assessment of all pupils
  • Be a committed and involved team member within your department, but also the wider school
  • Follow school behaviour and reporting policies
  • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained
  • Manage class behaviour using positive behaviour management techniques
