We are looking to recruite an Administrative Assistant, in a primary school in Harrow, North London.

Monday-Thursday: 8:30-4pm

Friday- 8am-4pm

(30 minute lunch break)

Term Time, 39 weeks

Main Purpose of Post:1. To be responsible to the School Administrator for supporting the efficient operation of the schooloffice.2. To use ParentPay, making sure it is used for all payments that are needed to be made byparents/carers and staff.3. To ensure documents on the school website are up to date e.g., newsletters, policies and to makeadditions and changes as directed by Headteacher.4. To review, organise and run Book Fair annually.5. To review and organise school photographer twice yearly.6. To be responsible for the management of children's Cool milk account.7. To update InVentry System with DBS details.

General Duties and Responsibilities:1. To conduct general clerical tasks as directed by the Headteacher and School Administrator.2. To carry out reception duties, operate the phones and attend to routine enquiries from parents andpublic.3. To deal with queries from parents and other stakeholders via the telephone/email.4. To distribute internal, external mail and office emails as directed.5. To assist with reprographic work to include photo-copying, binding of documents and desk-toppublishing.6. To ensure all deliveries to schools are checked and distributed as directed.7. To produce weekly lunch registers for teachers and to also provide the school lunch number to thehot meals provider daily.

8. To assist the School Administrator and Headteacher in dealing with general school matters such as the preparation of the school productions and activities. 9. To cover First Aid duties when required. 10. To produce class lists for teachers as and when required. 11. To prepare flyers for school events, i.e. Christmas Fairs, Summer Fairs, Literacy Workshops, Census Day etc. 12. To review, organise and run Book Fair annually. 13. To review and organise school photographer twice yearly. 14. To support the day-to-day operation of the School Office. 15. To share responsibility for School Office stationery and supplies. 16. To liaise with catering company regarding hot school lunch menu. 17. To carry out any other related duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post which may be decided by the Head Teacher or Governors, in accordance with the changing needs of the school. 18. To comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person. 19. To be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all. 20. To contribute to the overall ethos / work aims of the School. 21. To establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/ professionals. 22. To attend and participate in regular meetings. 23. To participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
