September 2021 - Specialist Learning Mentor/HLTA - Alternative Provision - Wakefield
At Celsian Education we are seeking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic HLTA to work within a Specialist Autism Provision.
We are looking for someone with initiative and a willingness to become an active member of a friendly and professional school team where happy children and their learning are our highest priority. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge and understanding of autism and experience supporting students with SEND.
The successful candidate will be required to work alongside class teachers and other Teaching Assistants and to follow any recommendations/guidance from multi agency teams.
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of two years relevant experience working with parents/carers and families.Experience leading a class and teaching on a 1:1 basis.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.A good understanding of safeguarding children.High quality report writing and recording skills.An ability to work on their own initiative and be self-motivated.A commitment to continuing professional development is necessary; we work closely together and roles may be interchangeable to meet childrens needs
