Celsian are pleased to be working with a number of Secondary Schools in Leeds, and we are keen to recruit a Cover Supervisor who is interested in working with some of these schools.
This is a great opportunity to get paid experience in a local school, especially if you are looking into training as a teacher in the future - there's no substitute for experience and it can be invaluable in helping you to know that teaching is for you. We have good links with a few local schools and can offer you consistent work as a Cover Supervisor, where hopefully you can establish good links with schools too.
As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for managing the classroom in the absence of the normal teacher. It's your job to make sure pupils remain focused on the work which has been left and that behaviour is managed effectively.
This is the ideal opportunity if you are looking for a position that will challenge you to utilise your knowledge, communication skills and creativity to develop varied approaches that help pupils understand the information presented.
To be a good fit for this post, you will need to be:
- Empathetic and compassionate
- Well-presented and professional
- Positive and motivational.
- Supportive and understanding.
- Trustworthy and ethical.
- Assertive and confident.
- Flexible and resourceful.
- 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
- Previous experience with children at secondary level, where this be paid or unpaid
- Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
If you are looking for a role where you can use exciting and engaging teaching skills to enhance a child's learning experience, this is the perfect role for you. Apply today.
