A note from Stewart McCoy, Managing Director about the merger

I have been managing director of Celsian Education and Career Teachers for just over 18 months and I’ve been incredibly impressed and feel proud of my team, and the temporary workforce we represent. More than 1,000 teachers and support staff work in our schools each week and what is clear to me is the dedication to make a difference to the lives of young people.  

I am also personally committed to making a difference to young people which for us, means matching the right job and person to ensure the best possible opportunity for pupils, but doing this quickly and within the budget set by the school.  

My vision for a single company approach started with drawing on the experience of both Celsian and Career Teachers teams to help me to navigate the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. This helped me to identify new ways of working that were as relevant to Career Teachers as they were to Celsian. So, it makes sense to set our business up in a single unified way as we emerge from the pandemic. 

As a result of this decision, in the months ahead we will start to enhance our services and implement new systems and technology, making our processes more efficient and incorporate robust safeguarding into our platforms. By doing this we will be able to keep you well informed about new jobs and give you access to more schools. For schools we will naturally provide a wider range of candidates.  

Our registration, booking, timesheet, payroll, and invoicing systems will be evolved, and our data will be more secure than ever, as modern technology brings with it enhanced, industry leading protection as well as increasing our capabilities for personal interactions with us as we become more mobile centric.
