Laura's journey: Relocating to London

Laura trained as a Secondary English Teacher at Edith Cowen University. She came to live in London and work with Career Teachers after graduating. During her two years in London, Laura taught English and took on some general cover teaching in a range of schools on short-term contracts.

Why did you choose to teach in London?
To see a bit more of the world and experience living in a different culture.

How was the relocation process? Did you feel prepared before you started teaching? How were you supported by Career Teachers?
Career Teachers made it very easy!

Has your experience in London had an impact on your teaching career? What have you done since?
I am now living in Ireland and teaching adults in a private school.

What did you enjoy the most about living and working in London?
